A couple of adventurers decide to get married in the Luberon, a few kilometres from Gordes. They choose the Grange de Javon — the former stables of Château de Javon, lovingly restored by another couple of adventurers, Julie and Yannick.
The day begins. The girls do their makeup, the boys are in the pool. Champagne and beer, two rooms, two moods. Underfoot, Rita — Justine’s cat — circles peacefully, then disappears around noon, a few hours before the ceremony. We should’ve closed the doors.
Panic, general mobilisation, off to find Rita. And there: a moment funny and stressful at once that I didn’t dare photograph — a group of guests, croquettes in hand, scattered across the lavender fields, calling for Rita. Still nothing.
Half an hour later, I finally find her in the closet of the bedroom where Justine had got ready. The cat had never left the room.
Relief. We breathe. Now the party can begin. Venue: Grange de Javon. Flowers: Melanie Bois Fleuri. Hair & Makeup: Charlene Dolo. Videographer: Dimitri Pierre M.
